My milkshakes bring all the hungry people? to the yard

In discussion with the marvelous tooth_fairy the subject of making milkshakes from icecream at home came up.

My mum used to make me a milkshake for breakfast when I felt poorly. The recipe was roughly as follows: 1 banana, 2 scoops of vanilla icecream, some milk, an egg, a handful of oats.
BLEND until yum.
It is delicious, and I don't even like bananas. I have, on occasion swapped the vanilla out for whatever the heck else I have in the freezer, or used other fruit.

I think my mum's theory was that it was tasty and treaty, but also healthy, cos it had protein and fibre and fruit and EVERYTHING. I like her theory, and still find it a soothing and treaty meal. YUM.

So, is it a travesty?
Would you use it as a hangover cure (I have)?

Does it sound horrible?
