I sculpted!

I MADE things on my day off yesterday! They're silly-looking little clay monsters. Justin's favorite is the snake with the bouffant. I think I may have to go with the very surprised bird. Today, I'm working only six hours and THEN I have the day off for my birthday! :D We're going to go to the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) since, well, we've never properly been. If it's a nice day, we might take a walk to the arboretum that's over there. Honestly, I only even know that MOHAI exists because we went to a Bird Note event there. (Bird Note is a little segment on NPR--it's a few minutes long and features a bird species per segment. We find it hilarious.) He is also getting me a yellow cake with chocolate icing from the Ballard Market.

I know, it seems excessive to go all the way to Ballard to get a cake, but I have NEVER seen a yellow cake with chocolate icing in any other store up here. I think I was unreasonably spoiled by Publix down in Florida. Not only did they make yellow cakes with chocolate icing, but they also made marble cakes. I LOVE marble cake. It is, without any doubt whatsoever my favorite kind of cake. I don't think they exist in Seattle...

Ugh. Now I want to go to Florida and eat myself sick on Cuban bread and marble cake. Is it polite to hashtag Livejournal? Because, #FirstWorldProblems

So, that's my exciting life. It's amazing how relaxed I feel after doing some artwork yesterday. I just ended up so cheerful all night! Well, I know what I need to keep doing!
