I went to town to do some errands. I went to the feed store for a bag of deer feed. $16. I also bought a scoop, some raw peanuts to boil and spice and some overpriced suet packages.
I stopped by Alida's with Wendy's mittens. They will fit Alida better. She'll also be able to use them as a pattern for making mittens from sweaters, as Wendy made them.
I dropped off Abe at Chantal's, then went to GT to return some Christmas gifts. I bought a shower rod for the new shower in the upstairs bathroom and some throw blankets for the chairs upstairs.
I came home and filled up six bowls for the deer. I found my toe-up sock book and measured my foot to see what the dimensions are that I am aiming for as I knit. It was interesting to figure it all out and fill in the blanks in her formulas.
I sat in the Lofty Treefort with my knitting in the relative dark, the Christmas lights and spotlight in the yard on. I waited for the deer to come. They didn't.
Willem brought up a nuked potato for each of us and we sat and ate in the Lofty Treefort.
I gave up on waiting for the deer, my eyes getting some strain, and came into our large bedroom to recline and work on this new pair of socks. Casting on is an art, using Judy's Cast On technique.
Off to watch Gilmore Girls again! :)
Willem is preparing the kitchen for Les to work on, on Monday. He's been emptying and moving the cupboards into the living room so he can work on the holes in the walls where all the wires were run through. Big job.
He's also repairing the cupboards as he works. He's getting so much done for me! I'm just being lazy.
