Les came this morning while I was on the phone with Maryjane. We slept in our old bedroom downstairs as the upstairs was a disaster. I think we should take everything downstairs that was stored on the loft area. Perhaps it can all go to the dump or reuse center!
Les needed some corner bead for drywalling, so I went to the nearby hardware store where I got it and some black spray paint.
I spray painted four chairs which I stacked on top of each other.
I worked on getting lots of videos uploaded throughout the day.
I took a gallon of hot water and homemade soap down to the gypsy mobile. I folded a towel into 16th's and washed the ceiling. It went from mahogany brown to light beige! I guess the former resident was a smoker. It's amazing how much it has changed things to have a lighter colour on the ceiling. It smells better in there, too.
It took using the whole gallon, pouring it into a lower container to just wet the cloth on each side I was using. It was an amazing opportunity to clean that ceiling. Finally, I used a white cloth to wipe the whole ceiling and it remained a clean white cloth! Amazing!
I couldn't get to the ceiling over the mattress, so it remains dirty. I also washed some of the cupboard doors.
When I was done, I came back to the house and prepared to go pick up Ben in Ottawa to come with us to dinner at Lori's.
We had a great visit on the way from his work to pick up his rental car ($9 a day for each weekend all year).
Lori made an incredible meal of lentil soup, pecan spinach salad, sprouted quinoa with sprouted brown rice, sprouted wild rice and pinto beans. We had licorice tea and lemon lime water to drink with it.
Willem drove Ben back to enterprise to pick up his car and I went home.
