Sunday
Maryjane and I made it to church on time. I had let her sleep in cos she was in dire need of catching up on her sleep. I was amazed at how we got out of the house in ten minutes and were five minutes early for church!
Audrey and Michael Koerver spoke. They are amazing speakers! Very uplifting, directional talks. I love them and that they come to our branch!
On the way home, Maryjane and I took different routes through the wilderness. It was beautiful. We encountered a large rainstorm on the way. I loved driving through the big puddles in the wheel tracks of the road. Our own road was slightly washed out. I sat and filmed from the stream looking up our road at the way it was washing out. I was amazed to see the stream with dirty water in it! I've never seen it anyway but clear!
Willem arrived home, passed me and almost collided with Bill coming down out of his lane. I think we need to remove the big overhanging tree that limits the sight.
The flowers are lovely still, so many of them, so tall and full of colour. The yellow flowers are Hildred West. I need to make stakes to label them.
I showed Maryjane how to do her genealogy online. She's so inspired by it all that she's addicted now! So much more useful than playing games, I must say! :)
I was tired of sitting in the bedroom and needed to get outside, so we went out and looked at the flowers in bloom around Everfar Labyrinth. So lovely. In years to come they will be so large and so much more beautiful! I discovered that Hildred West is a large yellow daylily, reaching 10" across! Unbelievable. I have several of those!
Maryjane went for a nap and I went down for a swim. It started to pour just as I got there, so I was able to film the rain on the pond water! I love when that happens! I love watching the bouncing water.
I stayed down in the pond and slid my feet on the bottom to push the mud into the deep and to remove any plants that are starting to grow in there. I got my toes and toenails all muddy again. So hard to make them lovely and clean again! Any algae or loosened waterplants will float to the surface where I will scoop them off with the net.
The sky was blue by the time I walked back up the hill. Willem was coming down on the way to the dump, so I went with him. I found a stoneware casserole dish for Maryjane. I know she loves those.
7pm Maryjane was so happy it had started to rain when I had headed down there. She knows how much I wanted to swim in the rain! She was sorry to have missed the dump run as there are always interesting treasures to be had from there!
We boiled some hot dogs for dinner. Willem had his salad from yesterday. His salads are made of garden lettuce, wood sorrel, lambs quarters and some storebought greens. I add cucumbers and baby tomatoes. He uses raspberry vinagrette dressing, vegan bacon bits and croutons.
We ate in the weaving room at the little high table in front of the big window. It's so nice to have it in there now, along with the white table being in the kitchen. So pretty in there now!
We worked on genealogy again. I worked on my journal, as I'd not written since last Thursday and time was passing quickly.
