Working towards a window in the loft

Maryjane thought I could actually get the window installed into the loft above Willem's office. I wasn't sure something like that was even possible. HOwever, with lots of encouragement and help, we are at the window framing stage.

Maryjane is incredible! Her power of persuasion is out of.....the box!

Willem helped us remove the food storage boxes from the loft. I emptied out the loft in our room, then MJ brought the boxes to him and he passed them up to me. I stacked them as far back into the loft as possible.

I went back to the main loft afterwards and stacked things for weaving in one area and papers came out of there to throw away. Boxes of press kits, mostly.

MJ brought up the vaccuum for me, so I vaccuumed the back skinny side of the loft, then put the weaving supplies back there.

The Lees came to home and visit teach us, so I abandoned MJ. She had been cleaning and cleaning the bathroom, which was so dusty and infused with drywalling bits, etc. While we were downstairs visiting she removed all the boxes from her room into our room and up onto the shelf below the loft.

I came back up and MJ and I removed more boxes from the loft and vacuumed for awhile. Again MJ moved all those boxes out of the room and put all those very heavy boxes up onto the loft shelf. Amazing adrenal rush!

She took over the vacuuming when I had sorted out the loft so everything was pushed out to the low side.

Time to start on the window. I found some stuff and brought it up. We put plastic over everything around the room, then I started measuring out where the window will go, cut the drywall and removed it. We cleaned it all up again before I started figuring where to cut the studs off. The blade was too dull to slice through the studs the way it should.

We were both hot and in pain, so I went to the pond to cool off and she took a shower. It was great to be able to use the pond like that.

We went to Home Depot after looking at a house for sale that she wanted to see. I was amazed at how big and how beautiful it was!
