Welcome to the cold morning
I got up to check on the fire. Willem, my dear sweet Willem, had brought in two armfuls of wood and left it in front of the woodstove for me to stay warm till he got back tonight. What a sweetheart!
He had also stoked the fire and shut it down. I opened up the side vent and let it heat the stove to 900degrees. Good idea. Then I put on the fan behind it and let it blow the heat into the room, shut it partway down and petted Maow-kitty. He was glad to have the heat, too.
I have the curtains drawn today to keep the cold out. If the sun shines I'll open them and let the warmth in.
It was mighty cold outside yesterday, too, but I opened the sunroom and found it was warm in there from the sun. How nice. It's the bitterest days outside (-20c) that are the warmest in the house if the sun is shining!
I love talking on the facebook chat! I'm finally getting to be in touch with everyone again! I have missed that. It really gives meaning to my day and keeps me from any lonliness when I do that!
