As part of my ongoing promise to no-one to chronicle my life more fully, here is a censored account of my weekend.
On Friday I was going to go eat the Best Pizza in Japan, but Steve got all sick and couldn't come. So Jon, Nate, and I just hung out in my apartment. We watched Lost and House. Not especially eventful. The next day I was awoken by Jon. He came into my room and did an Arnold Schwarzenegger impression. It freaked me out. Then we went and ate Brazilian chicken sandwiches. Then Jon said "Hey, you wanna go get some coffee?", I agreed, which to Jon seemed to count as consent to go halfway across the prefecture. There was a small, closed coffee shop in the middle of the mountains in Gifu. So after not drinking coffee we went back to his house and played Tekken and drank Corona.
Then I went to Nagoya. My friend Patrick was having a birthday part at "Shooter's" in Nagoya. I drank some more there. Then my friend Rob and I went to play pool with some Japanese girls. They were extraordinarily good at English. I was hitting on the one with a British accent, until some English teachers from Korea (in Japan to refresh their tourist visas) totally interfered. They were nice, but one of the dudes (who is only in Nagoya for one night) stole the attention of the girl I was talking to. Disappointing. Anyway, after all my friends left, I went with the Japanese girls to some clubs. They ended up going to stay in an internet cafe, so I chugged two redbulls and went to a club by myself. I was basically at this club called "Cream" to have somewhere to wait until the first trains started running. I drank a lot more and talked to a very friendly Brazilian girl who spoke great English.
Then I fell asleep in the club, went to McDonald's, caught the first train, and slept at home until 3 pm.
