Here is a discussion from a meeting yesterday:
Me: So, if we want this pie-in-the-sky hardware, we should request it. If you never ask for the pony, you'll never get it.
My horse-loving coworker: Do you want a pony?
Me: ... well, of course, but I live in a town house.
HLC: My friend raises miniature horses, they're about the size of dogs...
Me: But my hardwood floors...
HLC: Oh, you can put slippers on them! Here's a picture of a miniature horse in tennis shoes!
... I don't remember how the end of that meeting went. Miniature horses are *awfully* cute! Eric says I can only have a kitten, though :(
Which reminds me! Happy birthday to Asi, who turned 14 yesterday! (more or less) He celebrated by complaining about his food and wheedling treats out of us.
