Audio Books
Thank goodness! My Audible account expires next Friday, and I'm not renewing (this year). That means that I need to use up my last three credits. I've been waiting hopefully for I Shall Wear Midnight by Terry Pratchett to come out, as well as the fourth book in the Skulduggery Pleasant series by Derek Landy. It is so frustrating to see the book when you're not logged into Audible, only to have it disappear as soon as you log in. I hate foreign rights! If a book is available in a language I understand, I want to be able to buy it!

Um, that rant aside, I Shall Wear Midnight just came out yesterday, so I was able to get it! Yay! And now I will wait until next week (at which point I'll buy the second and third book of Diana Wynne Jones' Howl series, because I don't think the Skulduggery book will be available. The print is in paperback already, and it's not available in the US. Get with it, US publishers!)

Baking
Today was the annual cookie exchange at work. I made chocolate no bake cookies. I have to make the chocolate ones, because I will just mindlessly eat the peanut butter ones until I run out. SO DELICIOUS! The chocolate ones turned out pretty good, too, but they don't have quite the addictive affect of the peanut butter ones. (Of course, we were only supposed to bring in a dozen cookies, and this makes something like four dozen. I brought in the rest of the cookies, hoping that someone would have forgotten their cookies, but want some anyway. So far, very few takers.)

I also made some Macaroni Grill Bread for Craft Night. It was pretty good, if I do say so myself. The secret is to eat it all while it's still warm! We have a loaf and a half left today (I made the dough for four small loaves before everyone backed out!), so we'll see if it stands up to being set out overnight.

Cats
And in cat news! Asi is still not gaining weight, so Eric went out and bought him canned food yesterday (he also bought treats, pill pockets, and litter. Then he took Asi to his vet appointment so I could fuss with my hair. He's so sweet!). We are trying to just feed him right out in the open, in front of the other cats. I think they may have put a hit out on him out of jealousy. (In their defense, it really isn't fair to make them watch him eat chicken and lobster while they're eating dry kibble.) I think we'll have to figure something else out.
