"I Survived A Japanese Gameshow" was a reality show that tossed ten unsuspecting Americans into Japan and made them compete on a Japanese gameshow called Majide. Two teams, someone was eliminated by challenge from the losing team every week, until the last episode. The winning team got various rewards - learning how soba noodles were made and enjoying a custom ramen dish, visiting a spa, etc, and the losing team also had to do some form of work or punishment for losing: spending the night in a capsule hotel, cleaning up at a pachinko parlor, etc.
The last episde had the final four go head-to-head dropping to final three, two, and then the winner was determined. The girl I was rooting for at first got eliminated fairly early on, then the other girl made the final four only to be eliminated, and then my third choice wound up in second place. But it was fun. The host of ISAJG, Tony something, was very, very hot. The host of Majide, Romu, was a whole lot of fun, as was his sidekick Judge Bob. The players were also, for the most part, friendly towards each other, though they knew it was a game. That's rather different from most games that are out there at the moment. I like that mood.
lol! at that game. Almost sounds like something I'd like to watch, hee Hope none of those people were claustrophobic who had to sleep in the capsule hotel. And ew at cleaning up the pachinko parlor.

Wow, that's a rarity. I'd like the mood of that, too. Snarky competitiveness irritates me.
It was quite fun to watch. It's probably pretty easy to find online, and I'm hoping there will be more seasons of it. The three stuck in the capsule hotel didn't seem to have any problems with claustrophobia.
It is a rarity. There was a little bit of snarkiness, but only a trace of it. And a majority of it was caused by only two people, so it wasn't the whole house getting into it.
