Some disease...

Hmm, I wish I was sleeping right now, but alas I’m wide awake and all by my lonesome in the house. No going out for me, I guess. Not much to report in the way of life, so off I go on “Smallville” rambling. The fourth season was pretty good, especially “Transference” in which I was laughing my ass off because Welling and Glover mimicked each other damn well. I imagine they spent a long time studying each other. “Onyx” was great since it was basically a Lex episode, and that dark side made me grin more than once. Go evil Lex! The other standout was “Blank”, Chloe had to work extra hard and her reactions to some of Clark’s powers were priceless. “And so the super-Wheaties powers keep on coming…” The only episode I really had a problem with was “Spell” because let’s be honest, witches and magic in the Smallville universe?

It was really strange. I feel much the same about the fifth season’s introduction to vampires. I kept watching it thinking “is it supposed to be funny? Serious? What are we going for here?” How the hell does drinking Clark’s blood give you heat vision? Ah well, hopefully there’ll be more Milton Fine in upcoming episodes, I love that guy. ^_^ I’m focused on anthologies lately, and the latest Jim Butcher short I read “Even Hand” was great, it was set from Marcone’s POV, and that man’s head is an entertaining place to be. I just hope Marcone and Dresden never go at each other for real, that fight would be brutal. Yep, that’s all for now. One of these days, I’ll have some real news to report.
