One project that I've been putting off is creation of a mala for my husband (and one for me, too). A mala is useful in meditative practices, and since we both have chronic pain, it sounded like a way to manage that since so little actually works to help some days. It'll be a whole lot easier to do crafting projects for NaCraMaMo if I can get to my supplies! Today, I spent a bit more than an hour consolidating things that need sorting through and clearing off the floor and desk in my office/craft storage room. Another half hour should see things to mostly-right. :)

What are you doing to get ready for

The only thing I did on Saturday, as far as crafting goes, is to read the introduction and other pages leading up to Day 1 of One Zentangle a Day by Becky Krahula. Though I did buy a handmade tote bag at a roller derby silent auction that was made by the mother of one of the skaters. I also enjoyed the bout, even if the local team didn't win ( Read more... )

While the bracelets were long past due, I have a craft project that is going to take several steps, and many days, to get done: a pattern for my body-atypical child that leads to a fancy vest he can wear to a friend's wedding.
