New Year's meme 2021
Happy New Year!
A bit late and uninspired, but here is the New Year's meme for 2021.
1. What did you do in 2021 that you'd never done before?
I can't think of anything except things I've done for the first time with Vega (but have done myself before) like going sledding, riding the carousel and mini-train, picking blueberries etc. Oh, and I went to Svindersvik with a friend which was cosy.
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make any resolutions for 2021, but I did hope to start working out to get rid of my back pain. That didn't happen. How hard can it be? So, that is what I want for this year too. More self-care overall: sleeping, getting massages, using facial and hair masks and just doing things for myself and my well-being.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, my brother-in-law's wife.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
None.
6. What would you like to have in 2022 that you lacked in 2021?
Sleep, always. And to have more patience with Vega.
7. What date from 2021 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
September 1, the start of the new medical secretary organisation at the hospital I work at. New boss, new tasks and (sort of) new colleagues.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Not getting covid-19? ^^;
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not being the patient parent I would like to be now in the midst of "the terrible twos".
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No, nothing serious. I'm surprised I didn't catch covid-19. (But it will surely happen soon, if it didn't already - Vega has a fever and my throat hurts...)
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Gifts to Vega, friends and family. Tickets to Junibacken and other events.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Friends and family who have helped me/us out in different ways.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
No one in particular, but the way the re-organisation at work has been handled.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Bills, food and things for Vega as usual.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Going to Örebro to see my parents and brother. Spending time with friends.
16. What song will always remind you of 2021?
I don't know.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) Happier or sadder? About the same.
b) Thinner or fatter? Same.
c) Richer or poorer? Richer.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Sleeping. Reading books. Working out.

VAB = Taking care of a sick Vega.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
We stayed at home and celebrated it on our own, just like last year. I had hoped for my parents and brother to come here after Christmas but in the end they didn't.

We spent it at home just the three of us. I made chocolate fondant for dessert. :9

No.

I only read one book for my own enjoyment and it was "Lite trött bara, annars bra" so I guess that one. But I've read tons of great children's books to Vega!

Nothing I can think of.

To meet friends and family. Moomin mugs, Spotify Premium, chocolate and tea among other things.

Dune.
30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I spent it with Danne and Vega at Djurgården where we ate lunch and ice cream, took a walk and visited Skansen. I was 35.
31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
If this stupid pandemic would be gone.
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2021?
Nothing new.
33. What kept you sane?
Spending time with friends.

Environmental issues as always.
