Thing I Made Thursday, one day early! To make up for all the days-late posts!

Serenity was awfully secretive about her name. She wouldn't give me anything, and then she gave me that, and I was like, "So simple? Okay!" What the pony wants, the pony gets.

She was a gift for brightlotusmoon. She arrived at her new home today, and now I can post pics!

Seriously, I CANNOT STOP TOUCHING HER. The hair the eyes, the lotus flower... and yeah, I am being careful about the paint swirls just in case. She is on my altar right now, with her mane and tail flowing over the shelf (it used to be a CD rack) and the mirror is with her and I AM JUST SO HAPPY.

You're so welcome, babe. *wags* It made my entire [duration of time it took me to finish her]. Two weeks? It's awesome doing nice things for awesome people.

I was seriously just smug as a cat full of stolen pizza crust the ENTIRE TIME. I'd work on her until I had to stop for whatever reason, put her down, and just SMIRK. It was great.

Nah, don't feel bad. It made me so fucking happy; I haven't sobbed happily in shock like that in YEARS. I think the last time that happened was three days after Adam and I admitted we were in love, over the phone, long distance. He had been antsy about my receiving a gift from him. I didn't get any gift and he was so disappointed. I was on the phone with him, and fifteen minutes after midnight on the Wednesday/Thursday before Halloween (1999) there was a knock on my dorm room door (I was alone). A mail delivery guy handed me a crystal vase full of one dozen white roses with a single red rose in the center. And Adam got to listen to my reaction while I cried and shrieked ( ... )

Holy crap, that is SO SWEET about the roses. I am all teary-eyed now. *sniff* *SNIFFLE*

And *hugs*. I wanted so badly to say "Just open it when you're alone and have a minute, okay? 'Cause you're GOING TO CRY." I felt kinda bad about that, too. :P I mean, happycrying is AWESOME, but also, ow, sometimes, my faaaaace. Also, onlookers may be disturbed.

He sounds so awesome, NEFK. Someone who understands the OMG PONY thing is not to be taken lightly. Especially if they are a guy.

I was, I was. I held on tightly and I made sure that I was going to get from New York to Maryland for him, permanently, no matter what it took. Not even 9/11 could stop me (my flight had been scheduled on 9/22/2001 and even all the delays never deterred me. He is technically a dysfunctional super genius. Which is also why it is so hard for him to understand how my brain works. His brain works on such a high level at such an extreme pace that everything else feels slow.
