Hey, Washington State Folks?
I have a friend, nonnycat, who is looking for a good doctor in the Olympia, Washington area. She's willing to travel for up to an hour (i.e., Seattle area is OK, too).
In her words:
I have fibromyalgia and co-morbid conditions including PCOS, insulin resistance, and PMDD.
Being that my mother is a nurse, I'm not the sort that can handle "Take this pill and go home." I ask questions, research myself, and make suggestions. I need a doctor that can work with this, not someone with a God complex. I also need someone who is not petrified of the thought of prescribing pain control for fibromyalgia, as was the case with the first doctor I saw here. It's not like I'm on heavy narcotics.
Yeah. So, basically, no asshole morons. Someone who is capable of listening would be fantastic.
I thought that some of you, being cool folks who know a good doctor when you see one, might have some useful recommendations? I loves Nonny and want to see her getting some good care.
