This is a bit . . . explicit, so I'm putting it under a cut. I'm hoping we have a vet or vet tech around who can answer this question satisfactorily.
Okay, so, dogs and wolves have a baculum -- a penis bone.
When fully erect, how much of this bone is actually in the part of the penis outside of the body? How much extra wang is there beyond that? I would love a diagram showing the baculum inside an erect dog/wolf penis, but would settle for some educated anatomical assistance.
If I have a five and a half inch penis bone from a normal wolf, what kind of hangage did the living animal have? Give me measurement from base of knot to tip.
Conversely, if I have a shapeshifter who is about 200 pounds in both shapes, and he has a nine inch penis, what kind of fucking scary-ass baculum are we looking at?
This is actually not for the perverse reasons you might think. Cross your legs and wince, dudes, because it's not a sex thing, it's a trophy thing. Ouch.
I am having a lot of fun with tags for this entry, and also with the icon. I've also been googling some pretty horrendous search strings with no success. Please, please don't make me take this to
little_details.
ETA: Correct answer found, discovered to be very wrong anyway. Goddamn. I knew it was awesome to be a werewolf.
