I called mine Rocky because her colouring reminded me of a Rocky Road.

Like you noted, I observed to a friend once when he'd bought his dog round that she had all the colours of his dog plus my other two cats in one :)

About 4 years ago, we had to rehome our big, beautiful ginger cat becasue he was beating up the neighbours cats and they were threatening to shoot him. We found him a good home about 30kms away, but after 2 days he ran away.
Yesterday, a big, huge ginger cat showed up at mum's place, walked in and jumped up on one of the couches, curled up and went to sleep.
It's...insane. His face looks a little different, but he has such similar markings and he seems so at home...it *must* be him.
Do you have any idea if ginger/red tabby coats change much over a cat's life?
Anyway, I thought you'd appreciate the story.
Four years. Mum was crying, she used to dream about her big cat all the time, still.
Four years. Walking home. Wow.

That is by-god remarkable. It's probably him. Time outside will change a cat's coat appearance and color, sometimes remarkably. They can look like completely different cats. If it's acting like him, it's probably him.

I am so glad he came back!

Aw, they're cuties! And that little Charlie Chaplin kitty (previous post) is the cutest! I love, love, love his little whiskers.
