Jak-Jak was a stray taken in when he was barely 6 months old. We found him on the lawn of the apartment complex here and took him in. Got him neutered and he's always been a healthy boy, thank god.
Naamah was adopted from the local Animal Control. She was taken from the home of an animal hoarder. She was pregnant when we adopted her (which we didn't know) And she was sick. She ended up having to get meds shoved down her poor throat and then an emergency spay as she started to abort the kittens. She was estimated to be about 8 months old at the time. Poor Baby Girl.
MoMo belonged to the girlfriend of the roomie of a friend of mine. She'd taken him the her BF's place when her parents said she couldn't keep him and the rest of the roomies weren't too thrilled about it. When talking to the friend at work, he said that they were going to take the kitten to the shelter. (All the shelters in Austin are kill shelters) I said right then that I'd take the kitten in. I got him neutered and his shots and all that and I have never regretted taking in the little cutie. Ever.
