Pre-Travel preparation list
Done so far:
Sort out a week's worth of clothes and underwear. Check.
Pack Cosmetics/washing bag, making sure it includes toothbrush, toothpaste, and shampoo. Check.
Bootup laptop, install additional software that might be needed ... Check
Download presentation, copy of Lit Review, schedule for the workshops onto USB pen. Check
Upload same onto laptop just in case. Check.
Ditto for work files I'm taking with me - job descriptions etc and an article I need to do some work on. Check.
Ditto for Fic work in progress. (Just in case I get bored of nightlife in Grenoble,) Check.
Clear off old files from Mp3 player, upload new play list. Check.
Switch off laptop, pack and add to suitcase. Check.
Make sure I can lift the suitcase ... Check.
Clean Loo and wipe round bathroom. (I'm not expecting visitors to drop by while I'm away, but ...) Check
Check passport, train tickets and Euro's are in bumbag. Check.
Still to do:
Sort out folder for paper copies of work I'm taking with me. Include blank writing pad and pen.
Pack carry bag with:
Paperwork folder.
Sewing project. (Mostly for eight hour train journey)
Overnight things, including nightwear, fresh underwear and socks ...
Bumbag (Won't be wearing it until tomorrow)
Transfer required items from normal handbag into smaller one (that will fit in the carry bag).
Have lunch.
Wash up.
Answer outstanding e-mails.
Take out trash.
Make sure everything is switched off that should be.
Pack car, set alarm and leave!
I think that's everything ...
Eep! Charge mobile phone (going to do that right now ...)
