Plotting death by Powerpoint

I'm off to Grenoble tomorrow (with a brief respite stop overnight at Bicester because of the ludicrous nature of of Sunday train timetables ...*)

Four days of workshops, including such fascinating subjects as 'Ethnographic approaches,' 'Content analysis,' and 'Action research and bootlegging.'  (I'm rather intrigued by that one ...)

But the meat of the week is the presentations of our Lit Reviews.  We have 45 mins each, which I'm assuming should include time for questions and comments.  So far I've pared it down to 33 slides, with a minimum of 5 points per slide ...

And I'm slowly losing the will to live.

I suspect my audience will too.  I have to try and cut it down somehow - although to condense 8500 words into under 20 slides I'm probably going to need a miracle.  Or two.

Fortunately I'm not scheduled until day two - which means  I get to see four presentations before I have to do mine, and I should be able to pick up some hints as to how (or how not) to do it.  I predict an evening of frantic revision in my near future ...  :-)

*There is no way to get from Warwick to London on Sunday in time to catch my Eurostar connection.  Last time I caught a train in Biscester.  This weekend the train from Biscester is a bus.  So's the train from Oxford.  *sigh*
