I just found a white hair. I thought at first it was perhaps something that was leftover from Halloween...but it was quite attached to my scalp.

Another minute more, and his personal deadline was up. The cake was expired.

He watched as the seconds ticked past midnight, at which point he disconnected the battery from his cellphone and made sure the door was securely closed and locked.
