Tense and point of view aren't important, are they?

Heh. So when I left EverQuest for World of Warcraft over three years ago (maybe more, I don't recall exactly), I wrote a lovely little story about my character, Syrce (name sound familiar? Riiiight...). I eventually made Syrce in WoW and then, about a year ago, I started writing the story of her waking up and finding that she was in a whole new place. I never really finished that one to my satisfaction (though I don't think it would take much). Then the other night, I came up with and wrote a third Syrce story, tying up some interesting loose ends from EQ and, oh yeah, porn. Because for some reason there had to be porn in Ironforge. Don't ask, I can't explain. I started thinking of IF and suddenly it led to sex. I'm a freak, I know. Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is thateach of these stories uses either a different tense or point of view! The first one is third POV, past tense. The second is third POV, present tense (which makes a bit of sense with the shift, but still not too coherent with the first). The third is first POV, past tense.

I didn't realize this until tonight. Heh.

I'm sure as hell not going to alter everything, especially since the last story is just starting to come together with the emotional content that I want. And part of that comes from it being first POV. So, yeah. Another couple of days, probably. Three stories, with character illustration (provided long, long ago when I still played EQ and the source art for my icon, yus).

And, as the world most often forgets, it r my b-day. Woot.

wow
