(no subject)
The last three or so weeks of the last semester of third year were basically consumed by everything Marketing and thesis. No surprise. We had to finish the paper work, and prepare to go through a mock defense, a final defense, and a presentation. Marketing didn't go so well because our group got the lowest grade from the whole batch but our section's scores were also the lowest from the rest of the classes. I think that says something about our prof and not the students. Thesis went well; didn't ace it but it was very good considering the fact that Senior C was dropped out of the class for overcutting which was my biggest nightmare come true. I still had a mini-paper, a Philo oral, a radio drama, and two final exams which weren't much when you set them beside the two major requirements.
I guess the last academic related thing I can bring up's my grades. I got like every grade except for an F, a D, and a B so I'm pretty happy with that. My QPI's at its highest by both semester and year. Hopefully it'll keep going up.
Other things that happened during those weeks: Ahia Chris and Achie Candice's wedding which was pretty big. I only attended the reception where I got to sit with my cousins instead of my original table with some strangers. I learned that I can talk to them now and apparently we make beso with each other (and I honestly hate making beso with people in my age range or getting kissed by the way younger ones). Maybe I should put in the Top Chef night we had since Paul was here for the aforementioned and he cooked an excellent dinner. Congrats to him on his season 9 win! We also adopted a dog. Well, he kind of walked into our gate and stayed. He's either a Pekingese or a Shih Tzu who's already a bit trained so mom doesn't have a problem with him being inside and spoiling him.
Once the break began, I obviously went for catching up on movies specifically Marvel superhero ones. I did X-Men: First Class, Thor, and Captain America in one night, well night to morning, but it got me excited for the Avengers movie so there's that. Because of that actually, dad set up the Xtreamer and the tv from the kitchen in my room where I've been watching episodes. My Little Pony is great on it, just saying.
I went out a couple times. First for Enrique's birthday which I didn't want to go to but I hadn't seen the Spoons in a while and I wanted to see Jessie. I spent my stay there with the Xavierians of ACE, eating pizza, and avoiding the smell of Antonio Banderas. Ken's reasoning to see the Spoons was sort of pointless because none of them were even there yet when I left. The next night was Anjo's birthday which was my first bar experience. It wasn't any different than drinking with people in a house but it was new to me just because. The morning after was my arranged ARPT spring cleaning which was productive and fun except for the lizard that was almost thrown at me.
There was a team sleep over in some new recruit's house that happened after that but I couldn't go because I got weather allergies. Speaking of which, my health was taken down a level... I don't know if I should say health in general but I'm still going to talk about it anyway. A couple of days before the wedding and the final Marketing defense, both events demanding I wear a skirt, I tripped in Faura. It was one of the worst trips I've had because the people who hang out by the stairs saw everything, none of them cared to help, I said "FUCK!" out loud, I ripped the knee of one of my favorite pairs of jeans, I scraped my right knee and I bruised the other. During finals week, my stomach and my back were both aching which made me uncomfortable and unable to do stuff. At first I thought it was gas pains but then it ended being constipation (I'm only going to say this here because no one reads this but I swear you never want to put a suppository up your own butt twice. It's horrific). Well, that was the reason for the stomach ache. After a urinalysis, we found that the back ache was from UTI and I'm taking medicine right now.
