You made me hug the toilet rather intimately earlier today, and left me feeling properly sick from yesterday evening up until a little while ago. And by the gods, the sheer puppyish joy at being able to keep plain potatoes down was downright humiliating.

One thing about me that I probably never shared is that I love to dance. And by 'dance' I mean ballroom and latino dancing.

A week ago, silarcta, my lovely evil twin from Norway, paid me a four-day visit in Prague. It was the best prolonged weekend I've had in a very, very long time, and it will likely become one of my most treasured memories.

Yesterday evening, pretty much the whole Czech Republic got hit by storms, strong downpours, and at some places even tornadoes (fyi, that's as common for us as snow in Australia).

Dad's been released to home care on Monday and as far as I can tell, he's doing fine. Like he'd tell me anything was wrong, the bufoon. We're too alike. Sleeping's gotten much easier, but I still have my fingers crossed, just in case.

So, my first wisdom tooth started to grow a few days back and it's exactly as pleasant as legends tell. It is kind of ironic because I have never before felt so dumb. Oh well. I can only hope that I won't end up like mom, with months and months of dentist appointments made of pain and suffering and pain.
