The Shiny Invasion, as recounted by this Foxling
A week ago, silarcta, my lovely evil twin from Norway, paid me a four-day visit in Prague. It was the best prolonged weekend I've had in a very, very long time, and it will likely become one of my most treasured memories.
She arrived Friday afternoon, so we didn't get up to too much after dropping her luggage besides lunch at Fama Grand, buying her a most lovely steampunk/clockwork necklace and bunkering down at one of my favourite tearooms because it was just too hot and we were just too tired to fucking do anything. *brick'd* Also, we had a date set with Chisa which went so good I can't believe it.
We also exchanged gifts then, and while I gave her two pairs of earrings of my own making in handpained dragon egg, I got two bags of specialty coffee beans and a replica of FMA State Alchemist pocketwatch and proceeded to flip out and latch onto the poor norwegian-no-touching-please girl for the rest of the day. XD
Then we went and had pizza before going our ways and it already sounds like all we ever did was eat, doesn't it. *shot*
On Saturday we embarked on an epic journey to an ossuary at Kutná Hora, Sedlec. It continued to be fucking hot, despite the fact that every forecast for the last month promised clouds and rain.
The blissful cold of the ossuary was like a punch to the face and we spent decidedly too much time there simply because we didn't want to go outside again. XD; Also, bones. So, so many bones. Pyramids of skulls, candle-holders of bones, crosses and holy pictures made of bones, huge looming chandeliers made of skulls and spines and and the bloody town symbol made of bones. There was a bird made of human bones. I just-... no words. There are approximately 40 thousand people burried there and you can just tell they used most of those people'S bones.
On our way out silarcta bought herself a scarily believeable skull replica and swiftly named it Bernard. We both became attached to Bernard, and I almost cried when we had to part our ways. I think Bernard's a cool guy. Eh patient and undrsteanding and doesn't afraid of anything.

Sunday was announced a lazy day and that is all we did that day. We got together for late English breakfast with our sketchbooks and bottomless coffee americana and lazed about until we moved to a nearby bakery shop for some cookies and elderberry juice and did some faffing around before we did some video game shopping and went back to the hotel room to do some quality lazing about with Sherlock and the new Torchwood episode.
Then, once the sun began to set because it continued to be fucking hot, we went for an idle stroll and had probably the most posh, delicious dinner of my life at Old Town Square, right across the Astronomical Clock. There we did some lazing about while sipping possibly the best wine I ever had Svatovavřinecké 2006. We Czechs know how to make good wine, ffffyeeeeeeah *puts on the Cool Glasses* and eating steaks, and some lounging with coffee and fondue and we closed our day with pulling out our sketchbooks and having a mojito while laying about until we got our rain wish, the skies opened and suddenly there were buckets and buckets of water coming down on our heads. After receiving the politest "we're closing now, pay up quickly and fuck off" ever, we ran back to the hotel huddled under single umbrella and lazed around until the trains started to go again and I could go home to catch an hour or two of sleep. XD
(And now that I think back, the Old Town restaurant happened on Saturday, but I can no longer remember what happened on Sunday evening and I DON'T RIGHTLY CARE. ALL WE EVER DID WAS DRAW, EAT, LAZE ABOUT, FIND CLEVER AND CREATIVE WAYS TO ABUSE OUR CHARACTERS BOUNCE IDEAS OFF EACH OTHER AND EAT. *shot*)
And then it was suddenly Monday and I accompanied Shiny and Bernard to the airport where we tried to have coffee but there was noone at the cashier not even a note, wtf people and then there was no more time to look for another shop. And, well, that was that. XD
