Nobody ever comments on my LJ, but I like updating because it gives me a nice break from xanga. I went to the Shane and Shane concert last night and was just really blessed. I'm going to put some lyrics from one of the opening acts up here. First, let me start by explaining the "here comes the rappist" start to this entry. We were on the way to the concert last night and I asked about the opening acts. My friend said that one of the opening acts was a rappist. My other friend and I looked at her, confused, and replied, "Rappist, you mean, like a rapist." She realized her mistake and told us that she meant rapper, but we had a good laugh about it then. Anyway, so this Christian rapper was really good and not anything that I expected. He played acoustic guitar, was the only one on stage (no band with him), sang part of the songs, and rapped the rest of the songs. It was surprisingly cool and he had a really interesting style. We bought his cd and I actually like most of it. Anyway, here are the lyrics that I wanted to post (this is from the songs that LA and I like best).
"It doesn't matter if they call me wrong,
Doesn't matter if they steal my song,
Doesn't matter if we're all along,
It doesn't matter at all.
Cause I would take a bullet for you,
I would take a bullet for you.
I would cross the line,
I'd swim across the sea.
I would take a bullet for you,
I would take a bullet for you.
I would lose it all,
I'd take my fall,
To show you it's for real."
"I can be the wall when you fall down,
Find me on the rocks when you break down.
I heard it in the song when you call out,
But I got to say now it's got to change."
