Evels with an R in front

So I went and saw Evels with an R in front and it was pretty cool. Beatrice, Glen, Keegan, Mallary, Grace and everyone else did an awesome job. Oh, and those guys that kicked the hat that was held up by a stick 10 feet out of the air. They were pretty nifty too. The music was incredibly beautiful too, if you haven't seen it (or heard it, haha)yet, you should go next week. It's at the Lisner Auditorium in DC. And if you go during the saturday matinee, you can see Cino, which is cool.

Anyway, I watched the first show through with Cameron and Anna (it was awesome hanging out with you guys we should do it again sometime) and then I hung out with the cast. Then I got to help with make up for the second show. Oh yeah, and I had the most terrifying experiance of my life too.

Ok, so there was this lady putting eyeliner on this old man and she looked like she was having a little trouble, and I wanted to be helpful, so I told her very nicely that, if you ask the person you're putting eyeliner on to close their eyes and raise their eyebrows (with their eyes still closed) it makes it easier to get a straight line right up next to th- And she turned...

And glared...

and glared ...

and glared.

I litterally started backing up, stuttering out apologies, she was so terrifying, I'm not even kidding, her eyes were burning holes in my head, it was very intimidating. And then she says, like I've done her a great personal wrong and she's kind and gracious enough to forgive me, "It's.. Alright." Each word was saturated with such venom and hate that all living plants nearby withered and died on the spot.

Well, we were actually about 50 stories up in a building so there really were no living plants nearby, but if there had been, they certainly would have died. I do think a pipe that later dripped yellowish water on me started leaking at this time though.

So yeah, and I was afraid of her the rest of the night, and still am. I just know she's gonna come and strangle me with her overly long black hair.

It was great though, there was this one time where one of the tables was covered with smocks the actors put over their costumes so they don't get make up on them and I saw the scary woman eating and I knew she was gonna walk over to where I was. I definately was gonna dive under the table and wait until she passed but I was afraid she'd see me and then come for me and I'd be cornered under the table, so I didn't.

I must say I took a lot of vindictive pleasure in life when this lady was telling the scary woman she was putting the lipstick on too thick on her, but she just kept doing it. Then the scary woman tried to blot it off with a cotton ball, but that got all stuck to the lady's mouth. It was pretty funny. Of course, when I was powdering some other person's lips later with a cotton ball, I experianced the same problem on a much smaller scale, so maybe I can't talk.

I really felt bad though when I told Mrs. Cassidy about her glaring and she laughed at me. That wasn't so bad but then it turned out she was good friends with the scary woman. And the scary woman was pretty nice and funny with everyone else. So she just hates me.

That's sad.

Today I went to my brother's court of honor. It wasn't that bad, but I still would have preferred to be at Revels doing make-up, scary woman or not. And then I have to miss out on Keegan's christmas party thing at his grandmother's house because I stayed for the second Revels show yesterday instead of going home after the first. So today kinda sucked. Ah well. What can you do.
