The hubby turned a year wiser and instead of getting a cake I decided on a dozen of Georgetown Cupcakes. After hearing rave review from am_klutz I was thrilled to find out that they ship within the U.S. When a large pink package arrived I did a little dance. Saturday was surely a happy day for Stvn as there were 2 soccer matches and one of them was between Barcelona versus Chivas. In the morning we caught G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra which I wasn't too keen on but since i lost a bet i had to comply. To my surprise it was pretty good and I'm kinda hooked! I can't wait for the sequel ( Read more... )

Ever since I left my hometown, lunar new year celebration is pretty small scale. Our immediate family get together for reunion dinner and hang out on the first day and that's about it. We've just returned from Chicago yesterday and boy are we glad to be back home in a much milder climate. I wore so many layers that I'm convinced i was at least 1 kg heavier! Looks like this space has been neglected. I haven't been able to keep up mostly because I've been down with a series of ailments. First, persistent allergy outbreak which lasted more than 3 weeks and then persistent flu. Also i spent the last few days in the wet but charming Seattle. I enjoy reading blogs. Long before I started blogging, I read blogs. It amazes me how I can get drawn into the world of someone I don't know, how I seem to relate to their life experiences and how I eventually started contact with some of them via comments and emails.
