tonight i am going to go see bob dylan perform in the mullins center at umass. bob dylan, oh how i have awaited you! it has been oddly warm out this past week considering it is nearing the end of november and it's supposed to be snowing (correct me if i'm wrong?). i will be in michigan wed-sunday for thanksgiving break, and i will be seeing ryan and jason. we will be poor and have a cheap thanksgiving meal (a.k.a. pizza), but that is fine with me because at least i will have somewhere to be other than mt. holyoke. in the next two months i will be on an airplane entirely too much. for winter break i will fly home to san francisco for 2 hrs and then i will be off on a 15-hr flight to taipei. alone. 12 days later i will fly back to san francisco for a total of 3 days and then back to boring south hadley for january term. and again, i will be alone. i hope i don't get too depressed without people around, but i will be busy and surrounded by art so i think it will work out.
registration was annoying. and it's still not over for me. monday i must go to the registrar again to sort out the hampshire class and whatever is happening with the photography class that suddenly appeared on my schedule of classes when i didn't register for it. other than that mess, i will be taking Renaissance Art, a philosophy class titled: "The Modern Period", and of course, my two language classes: Chinese and French. the art course particularly excites me because it will be a whole semester just dedicated to the Renaissance greats. in ap art history last year, we had to condense that period into something like 2 months, maybe less.
