Well now. Wasn't that a decieving entry *motions below*. The beginning of the quarter is always like that. Kind and gentle. Supple. Nubile. Then it morphs immediately into a hardened crack whore, steals all of your money and anything worth pawning for some more drug money. Oh well. I had some good fun this quarter. Went to Whistler with my brother and his friend, a decent party of two was found. Stress levels were a little out of hand towards the end, and the night I thought I lost my job was a bad one, but all in all, those nights just serve to break my will so that I give up easier in the future. Which is healthier.
This summer, in order to keep getting money from the Mary Gates Endowment, I have to enroll for at least 1 credit. I enrolled for TWICE that many credits! A 2-credit class of Greek and Latin roots, Tuesday nights from 7-9pm. I am anticipating a cakewalk. Fall quarter I start the physics series (legitimate, calculus-based physics), microbiology classes, and 2 German classes- 2nd year and "conversational German through films". I think it should be OK. Considering that I've worked with the material in Microbiology 410 for over a year and a half, it can't be that bad. German should be kick ass, as usual, and I'm excited to take physics so I have the basics with which to talk with my brother and my dad and his engineer friends about wacky ideas involving waves and lasers.
So, until late September, I'll have weeknight evenings free (except for Tuesdays), and sporadic weekend evenings open. Still doing the catering thing, and working full-time in the lab. But I can get time off easily, especially since my boss at the lab is taking a month-long sabbatical in France; meaning that a) he cant't deny my vacations in the next month because he isn't here and b) he can't give me shit for taking time off because he just took a month to go to France. So give me a call. Lets have a sleepover. I have a sofabed and some matress pads.
