::Editor's Note:: Reasons why updates have been lacking.

You all are honestly going to think I'm making all of this up.

But I swear to you, I'm not.

I have been following the news lately, and there is SO MUCH to cover (State of the Union, Mulsim-Cartoon Controversy, Iran in the UN, etc.) but I really have had no time.

Listen to these events I have experienced this week.

Thursday- Flew to New York City, thus causing major controversies because I usually work that day.

Friday- Went to work with my step dad at the United freaking Nations and hung out at the UN press center all day. It was possibly the best day

EVER. EVER EVER EVER.

And to get even better, around 3:00, Kofi Anan gave a speech and I was star struck just watching him talk in perons. Afterwards, my step dad had him come meet me.

ME.

Koffi Anan + me!

KJDSHFJKHFKJHFD.

Following that, one of the UN correspondents (a HOTT college intern from Australia) asked me to go to coffee with him. I didn't have time to say anything in responce because at that moment, my step dad pulled me to a new person and asked if I would be interested in trying for a summer internship position of my own. Almost in tears, I was like uncontrollably shaking. All of my life dreams in one day + more? If I died tomorrow, I'd be a happy lady.

Saturday- My brother had a little rock concert at a hang out in CT, so I tagged along. While there, I met these two German boys who are 20 and 23 (Chris and Franz). We exchanged phone numbers and are going clubbing in two weeks. Finally, I have friends in the place I'm moving to in less then 4 months haha. Yay!

Sunday- Flew home, worked, watched super bowl. A breathing period, if you will.

Monday- I got my very first freaking speeding ticket. 79 in a 55 on rt 66. Reckless Driving, court date is March 24th. Over a hundred dollars in fines and thats not including the skyrocketing of my car insurance.

I met with a new friend, though, so it wasn't so bad :-) He's cute. And we play off each other nicely.

Tuesday- Went Go-karting and came in 2nd out of ten boys (hoollllaaa). On the way home, though, I got freaking rear ended. I was sitting at a stoplight waiting for the light to turn and I guess the lady behind me forgot which pedal the break was and slammed into me. Still kind of giddy from karting, I got out of my car, checked my damage (broken tail light) and approached her.

"Hello, my name is Janet Weinstein and I'm the girl who owns the car you just hit yours with. Lets swap insurance."

:-P she was being all emo and crying, so I didn't want to be mean. Plus, her car wasn't in too good of condition. I figured I should add humor to the very non-comical scene.

Then went to work, blah blah. And now that's where I am today.

Ok, so Mr./Ms./Mrs Reader... where could I have found time to write an hour long journal entry on political events? I hope you understand my situation.

Maybe this weekend. Or something.

I love my luck. It's way up, way down or just chill. All in the time span of like 5 days.

Schools ending, I'm out of here.

Hope to hear from you all soon and I wish you the best of days until I return,

-j.
