1. Primo Island Lager

Hawaiian beer, made with 95% malt and 5% sugar cane, brewed from 1897.  6.2% alcohol.  Made a big comeback in 2007.  It's an airy beer, refreshing and very very easy to drink.  Aftertaste is a bit lacking, but tolerable.  A lot better than the other Hawaiian beers I have tried, like Longboard.  Wish it was a bit cheaper.   ( Read more... )

An artisinal Belgian beer that referments in the bottle. A stiff 8% alcohol, and you can definitely taste it, alas. Firm, substantial foam head. It's light and fruity, but with a unpleasant, bitter malty aftertaste that lingers and lingers. A bit too hoppy for my taste as well.
