Projects as Goals for next semester (Fuck Resolutions)
1. Nonet (9 person ensamble) for brass quintet(french horn, two trumpets, trombone and tuba), two vibraphones, and two synthiziers.
2. Satori for Two Pianos, with four movements representating the 4 Noble Truths (Buddism all that noise)
3. Calabration piece with Marly, for Piano, Celesta, Two bass clarinettes, 1 percussionist, Drunken (literal) brass ensamble and electronics/computer/DJ etc...
and the biggest one 4. Roma, A Journey a new idea inspired by listening to an excleent CD of Roma (gypsy) music. Going to at least try getting a independendt study with Miroslav Tadic (TAH-Dish!)to learn more formally the rhythums, harmonic structure, and 8-9 note microtone scale system of Roma music. The peice will encompass a journey of the roots of Roma music, from what is thought to be the begginings in North India all the way to Spain, stops will include parts of old Soviette western Satilites (think Georgia, Kahistan, etc...), Turkey, Balkans (of course :P) France, etc... for varried ensambles and a few western additions; will be noted, with good amount ofr improvsation, but will be performed with no music, and no seats; just a dance floor and places to stand, drink traditional Roma food and drinks (like Pita ((not the greek stuff, its a flaky potato and cheese thing that blows your mind)), Rakiah ((Slovitz)), Paprika ((bell peppers stuffed with meat,rice, and lots of seasonings, )) yada yada yada; I don't think Roma will be complete this year,(2006) but at least a large amount of it started and well sketched out. Research will be the first on agenda.

Play/Opera/Short Story on Rohnert Park, its too fucking crazy to not be written about.
Play/Opera/Short Story entilted Kirk the accademic dean at my old highscool, his family too functional to be real; ideas include, molestation of youngest daughter, his 2 twins having homosexual realtionship, wife with alchool dependanccy and herion addiction. etc.. etc...
Opera of Half Life , just finished the 2nd one and by far one of the most amazing experinces in gaming i have ever been through; never had i thought a game coudl actually be a peice of art, Half Life 2 prooved that wrong; story too compelling to not be expanded on. problem; take script to video game, while keeping true to story, limited stage presents problem too, intresting ideas to think about. perhaps video/opera, new wave baby! (i know its been done, i don't need a lecture, but unlike everyone thinks doors are being closed, you can still do it; we still write music for violin, just because Bach composed the partitas dosen't mean we stop writing for violin, take that academic cynical asshole!)
Fit in size 34 jeans (current size 36, waist isn't that big, my ass and thighs more the problem, will take work; can be done)
find reasonable balence between the use of weed and receration and work
good list; yay
