I saw TANGLED the other day, a Disney story about Repunzel. I hadn't planned on watching it, it was just sort of on, and I was curious. Unexpectedly, I really liked it. I thought it was a great story about a girl discovering her identity and a great hero's journey type of story. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I feel like I should go through my YA story again. I keep thinking of little things to fix, and now I'm thinking of getting rid of a scene early on in the book because now that I think about it, I think it's a) too much, and b) slows the pacing of the story. But I think I am also looking for things wrong with it and just spinning my wheels. I think I need to just give it to beta readers (my mom will also read it) and see what they think, if they notice the things I've noticed and the things I completely missed. This is so frustrating. I better go back to reading Nietzsche before I end up scrapping the whole thing. He might feel neglected.
