friday five

1) I have a great Thanksgiving with my family. We watched movies, read, and basically relaxed. Mom was a bit worried about the turkey, as we didn't find much white meat on it. Turns out, she cooked it upside down! It was funny. Still, we had a great dinner and now have plenty of leftovers.

2) I read some great books, Angel Town (this was the book I won in a contest, I got it this week and promptly sat down to read it, and it was awesome!) by Lilith Saintcrow, and Aftermath by Ann Aguirre, a book I've been waiting anxiously to read. I loved both books and I can't wait to see more from Saintcrow and to read the final book in the Jax series by Aguirre. I was also able to write a bit this week. Hopefully I'll be able to write more as the semester winds down.

3) We saw Breaking Dawn part one earlier this week. It was actually better than I expected. The beginning was good, but a bit slow. It picked up about twenty minutes in and really got interesting. I loved the parts with Jacob, they were fraught with drama and humor. Bella actually acted slightly more normal and Edward actually, well, acted, for a bit and stopped being a brick. He actually showed a bit of emotion. I am mightily impressed. *g* All joking aside, it really was pretty good, the best out of the four so far. And I loved the ending, it was perfect. I'm interested to see what they do with part two.

4) We also saw three awesome trailers. I can't wait for Sherlock Holmes 2, Snow White and the Hunstman, and the Hunger Games. I'm very excited to see these.

5) I don't really have a five, except to say that I'm tired and work today kicked my butt.
