As soon as I got back home from the Philippines, Kady, Silvain and I immediately started looking for apartments. We are all moving together for economy (we can all split the rent) and also to find a place with enough space for all of us and to explore our independence. Silvain wants his own room, and Kady wants a safer neighborhood (after that shooting incident right outside her apartment one night). I reluctantly agreed that even though our current apartment is at a great location and is at a good rate, it's time to get a bigger apartment where we can actually settle.
So most of the first part of the month involved house-hunting and driving around. We were looking somewhere southeast because the rent is good and it's a midpoint between all our jobs. Most of the units we found weren't really a perfect fit; we found a nice big house but it was in a sketchy neighborhood and had only one bath. Another one in Leschi had everything we wanted except ample parking and its own laundry facility.
Just when we were about to give up, we found an awesome duplex with skylights and two baths in Beacon Hill. It was the perfect location! All three of us instantly fell in love with it as soon as we stepped inside. So we immediately submitted our application, and are currently waiting for the reply.
