"I'm in charge of security, Your Highness," Vader said, haughty and automatic, and had to shove away a sudden onslaught of memories. It was this building, he thought, and the presence of a small brunette senator with a smart mouth. That was all.
I'm pretty pleased about both of these, for different reasons, but also because neither of them was on the wip list; they just popped up sui generis, which I love. While I always say I'm writing so the stories I want to read exist, I find it's particularly true in this fandom. I just want so many things I can't find* (or which exist as wsip, and you know how I hate that) so I end up writing them myself.
*they may exist on old SW archives I'm not familiar with, but if so, I still haven't found them
