the most tender place in my heart is for strangers

I did my Yuletide sign up, though I'm sure I'll edit my offers eight million times before they close, but I think I picked fandoms I'll really enjoy writing, though there will probably be panic involved at some point in the process, as there usually is. Also a lot more hate and loathing than I usually feel for the things I write. It's just very fraught every year.

Anyway.

Star Wars Rebels
Let's get my major quibble out of the way, which is, why would any two random holocrons cause that reaction? Like, I get that the Sith holocron was ancient and powerful, but I thought Kanan's just had Obi-Wan's warning message about Order 66 on it. So I felt that was a random asspull of a plot point.

Otoh, I did love that the answer to both Maul's question ('hope'/'he's alive') and Ezra's ('how to end the Sith') was the same: 'twin suns' because Maul is looking for Obi-Wan and Ezra discovered Luke.

I still don't care that much about Ezra though. If they put him out an airlock and the show continued without him, I don't even think I'd miss him. But I do kind of dig Maul being all weird and creepy about him to Kanan. 'our apprentice,' hmm? For all that I'm still annoyed that Maul survived when characters I care more about didn't (e.g., Steela, Satine), he is entertaining to watch.

Now back to Luke Cage, which I am enjoying so far. For now, all I'll say is, the music is amazing, and why does Claire Temple not have her own series yet?
