I love how the comment section on that AV Club article has devolved into everyone yelling about how much they love Hamilton and listing their favourite songs/moments from the musical. (Right now, mine is the unison whoa, whoa, oooh-oooh-oh that comes in after everybody sing! in "My Shot", which is a real lighter-waving moment. And the descending cellos in "Yorktown".)

I've been enjoying my DC-verse shows a lot this season but gotta admit, my brainspace has been bogarted by all the unexpected Hamilton squee. (I HAVE A TICKET TO SEE IT IN MARCH. WHEEEE!)

That is a great moment. I also get chills at "Rise up / when are these colonies gonna rise up / rise up?" And of course, "I'm not standing still / I am lying in wait!"

Yeah, I haven't been able to listen to anything else at home or on my commute. I just keep flipping back to Hamilton on my iPod.

Though I am also glad to see Arrow right itself after last season's misfires.

For me, the actor was appealing enough that he came close to rescuing Constantine from the many, many problems it had. (So many problems that show had.) Constantine was too awkwardly shoed-in here to really show it.

Oliver has been so sweet this season. It has been weird seeing almost all the other characters do this season the things they lambasted him for though. (Keeping secrets, working with villains, resurrecting the dead despite all the warnings against it....)

I thought it worked to bring Sara back, despite how anticlimactic the afterworld or whatever was, so at least that was organic. Unfortunately it also highlighted what a terrible idea her whole murder plot was.

Someone's got to wear the bad idea jeans now that Ollie's stopped! *g* Though yeah, I wish at least the secret-keeping would stop completely. The rest of the bad decisions are much more interesting, if not necessarily original.

I was thinking more that if this episode of Arrow had been my first introduction to him as the character, I'd find Constantine just annoying, whereas he endeared himself--he's not just a flippant jerkass! *g*--to me over the course of the flawed show's only season.

But yeah, her murder plot was a terrible idea, especially if they were only going to reverse it later anyway.

Oliver: "People, I am bravely refraining from commenting on all this...."

Oh, yeah, I didn't even think of that. I've never read Hellblazer but I've read enough DC comics to have become somewhat familiar with the character, at least by osmosis.
