+ Jessica Jones drops on November 20 (source). I sense a marathon weekend coming up!
+ Speaking of Marvel, I hear Planet Hulk did not end well for Steve and Bucky. What a disappointment. I don't expect even an AU to give me them as a couple, but I don't understand Marvel editorial's reluctance to let them be alive and in the same place at the same time as bros.
+ Steven Universe came back last night (5:30 pm EDT in NYC). LION! CONNIE! Connie's awareness of genre conventions! Dr. Maheswaran being willing to listen to her daughter at the end! And I guess the fact that she didn't seem too fazed by the mutant fusions means that people in the SU universe are more accustomed to weirdness? Because people know about the gems in general, right? And the Maheswarans know about Steven's Gems in particular, having met Alexandrite. AND STEVEN BUBBLED THEM AND DR. MAHESWARAN DIDN'T BLINK. And yet it seems like nobody reads Ronaldo's blog. (I don't like Ronaldo? But he does document weird shit happening all the time, even if his theories are usually wrong.)
Anyway we got Connie with the sword and Steven with the shield and I am here for that.
+ Since the US Open got rained out last night, Boss2 is there today instead of here. One last day of no bosses before new boss1 starts on Monday.
+ The delightfully nimble Bartolo Colon had an RBI single last night (he drove in the winning run!). This is why I refuse to get on board with the DH. Why would I want to miss entertaining shit like that? Pitchers should have to bat! And they should be taught how! *redacts rant about fundamentals and kids getting offa my lawn*
