So who's writing the Steve/Bucky Gilmore Girls AU, where Steve is Lorelai and Bucky is Luke? (Or v.v.? But Steve isn't curmudgeonly enough to be Luke. I like Peggy too much to make her Christopher, though. Ugh, Christopher.) With Sam as Sookie and Natasha as Michel. Clint could be Kirk and Tony could be Taylor. I had a harder time with Emily and Richard, but 
angelgazing suggested Hill and Fury, so that could work - instead of parents, they'd be the bosses of the agency Steve left to become a small town artist - maybe Kate is the Rory? ETA: RIKKI should be the Rory! /ETA There would be no secret 6th season baby either, except if it were a lab-grown clone.
In watching s5, though, I forgot how insufferable Rory becomes. Otoh, I now have much more goodwill towards Matt Czuchry. Logan is still a putz, but at least he's upfront with Rory about what dating him would be like.
I just watched the one where Luke and Lorelai break up after "Wedding Bell Blues" and I still cry over Lorelai's message, and ugh. She shouldn't have done that and I'm glad she apologized for it, but man, it still hurts me that they had such a rough time.

Legend of Korra: After All This Time
Oh, Korra, honey! I just want to give her all the hugs! She's hurting and she's lying to her friends and family about her whereabouts and she's getting her ass kicked in cagefighting earth rumbles, and ugh, precious avatar baby, please let your friends help you! (Also maybe makeouts with Asami would help. IJS.) I get that she's still reeling from not knowing her place in the world/feeling superfluous (and of course, recovering from mercury poisoning, which is no walk in the park), and I'm guessing this season is about relearning that for her, as well as bringing balance to the world (and her own life), which doesn't seem to be doing so great without the avatar's intervention.
Meelo's scene was hilarious, and Kuvira is a pretty awesome antagonist (using metal to blind her opponents...I can think of at least one earthbender who wouldn't be fazed by that) and I'm wondering when she said "ALL Earth Kingdom territories" if that includes the United Republic, or at least the Sudetenland Republic City, which was Earth Kingdom territory before it was colonized by the Fire Nation.
I thought that was a good start to the season and I am eager to see more, even though I don't really want it to end.

I don't really have much to say? I feel like I could, but I don't. Just give Viola Davis all the Emmys, because she's amazing.

Last night, I made the dough and the filling, so this morning I baked up these lemon cheese buns (pic) for breakfast and they are soft and sweet and delicious.
Now I'm going to go put on a pot of tomato sauce so I can make baked ziti for dinner (and lunch for next week).
