i got to run to keep from hiding

Even though I didn't think Team USA played all that well this morning, I'm glad they won and got the bye. They could use the rest.

then we watched the end of the Russia game and the first period of the Canada v. Finland game (♥TEEMU SELANNE♥ he is 12 days older than I am so I am totally rooting for him to do well since it's probably his last time around), but then my sister showed up so there was more cleaning and decluttering and less lounging and watching hockey. It's kind of unofficially been decided that in the next few months, after some modifications are made to my sister's house, my dad is going to move in with my sister's family (i.e., the three of us have basically told my dad this is how it's going to be, because of reasons I won't go into in a public post), and we cleaned out some more of my mom's stuff, but I was like, Marg don't go into his little office if you don't want to have a heart attack about how much STUFF there still is to clear out. There is SO MUCH STUFF. They've only lived in this house for 12 years! Also, they've lived here 12 years and there are still boxes of STUFF in the garage that were never unpacked. So I'm like, man, do we even need to open those? Just pitch them all. (I do want my (dad's) old Underwood typewriter, though. That thing is vintage.)

Anyway, after Marg and Alyssa left, I made focaccia and linguine with garlic and oil for dinner. it was good, but I feel like I put in a day, you know?

I was up late last night since I started my Veronica Mars rewatch. Well, I will probably only watch the first season, and maybe the series finale to refresh my memory about how it ended. I think s2 is kind of an interesting failure, since it's really hard to care about the bus crash the way we cared about Lilly's murder, but most of s3 is just...nope. Like, I seem to recall enjoying the Dean murder plot towards the end of the season, but even the things I liked were spoiled by all the rapeyness. But s1, man. Such a good season of television. And I'd forgotten how excellent the music is on that show. Sigh. More tonight, probably, since I find it hard to stop once I start.
