I got your name tattooed inside of my arm

Ugh! I just somehow lost my whole write up of Thor: The Dark World, and now I'm annoyed and don't want to do it again. I enjoyed the movie. Thor is my third favorite of the movie Avengers (after Steve and Natasha), and I think the movie did him justice. Precious Asgardian, indeed. ♥♥♥

Okay, I will say a little. Mostly because I love how Thor's character arc has played out. THOR. Yeah, Loki is highly entertaining and a much showier role (and Hiddleston shines in every moment), but he's also a whiny proponent of genocide because their crappy daddy didn't love him enough, so you know, I'm not so much in sympathy with him. It helps that he's usually the cause of his own downfall, because he outsmarts everyone, including himself. That scene with Frigga was AMAZING.

But THOR. He wants to be a GOOD MAN rather than a great king. (Echoes of Steve, here.) He wants to save and protect his people and all the nine realms rather than fight to the last drop of blood to win. What good is victory if everyone is too dead to enjoy it? Also, he goes from being an obnoxious jock/fratboy at the beginning of the first movie to a wiser, more grownup man here, one who is able to not only come up with that plan (HOW MUCH DID I LOVE THE HEIST STYLE FRAMING OF THE PLAN? T H I S M U C H !) but carry it out, knowing exactly how to use Loki's reputation and abilities, even while Loki is still two steps ahead. He's okay with that because he got what he needed done. Sure, he's a big guy who wants to punch things, but also he wants to make things better for the people he loves and the people he's responsible for. ♥THOR♥

I admit it, I cried over Frigga. I don't know if that was my own issues or the movie, but I did. And the funeral was beautiful. I'm glad she got to be so badass even though I dislike that they fridged her.

SIF. MORE SIF PLEASE. ALL THE SIF.

JANE. JANE SAVED THE UNIVERSE WITH SCIENCE. Thor did the heavy lifting, but JANE is the one who saved the day. Thor is simply her...blunt instrument. *insert hammer/dick jokes*

♥DARCY♥

I also enjoyed Chris Evans playing Loki playing Steve. ♥ I can only imagine how hilarious filming that was.

So who is writing the Erik Selvig & Walter Bishop pantsless scientist road trip fic?

I also watched this week's Legend of Korra and I'm kind of amused at the similarities : HARMONIC CONVERGENCE EVERY X THOUSAND YEARS>

Though SOMEDAY SOME HERO IS NOT GOING TO GIVE IN TO THAT VILLAIN DUMBASSERY AND I WILL BE SO PLEASED. Yes, it's awful that Unalaq was holding Jinora hostage, but is Korra really naive enough to believe that he would release her if Korra did as he asked? WHAT? I MEAN WHAT?

*hugs Jinora close so nothing bad can happen to her*

Otherwise, though BB!KORRA AND IROH HAVING A TEA PARTY. OH MY HEART.

Won Shi Ton, no! I wonder where Koh is going to fall on all of this.

Unalaq totally thinks Vaatu is going to join with him to make him some kind of dark Avatar, doesn't he? That's not going to end well for anybody.
