where you take one step and miss the whole first rung
= so they finally did release China Beach on dvd (thanks to imwalde for the info) but it costs $200. *whimper* Who can afford that?
= writing is hard. I have three wsip I would like to finish before Captain America/Winter Soldier comes out:
1. brooklyn, brooklyn, take me in (Steve/Bucky) (2300 words so far, i don't even know how much more is to go)
2. with your pockets full of rain (Steve/Natasha/Bucky) (4700 words so far and maybe 1/3 done?)
3. In the Shadow of Two Gunmen (MCU/DCU crossover) (3500 words so far and about 1/3 done?)
All of them are AU. I mean, even more so than all fanfic is AU etc. But I would still like to get them done. I mean, I have other wsip, and ideas etc. and there's still yuletide to write, but these are the three I would like to get out into the world before I am hopefully re-inspired by CW:TWS.
So of course, I am working on something else, for
angelgazing. Sigh. Hopefully it will be short and get me back in the swing of things.
Why is writing so hard?
= I made brown butter tortellini for dinner tonight. I love this recipe. It is so easy and so tasty. My dad was skeptical until he tasted it, and then he cleaned his plate. There was a tense moment when we couldn't find where the oven mitts had gone (everything is still a mess from all the cleaning) but they turned up in time to drain the tortellini, so it's all good.
