she kept a poem in her shoe

Once Upon a Time
Well, that was one of the best episodes the show's ever done, and I really like that they had Snow go through with using the candle and tricking Regina into taking the heart, but that her own change of heart was too late and Cora died. Now at least Regina has a real reason to be pissed at her, as opposed to her decades-long grudge against a fifteen year old girl. I thought Rose McGowan was an excellent choice as young Cora, and I'm so, so glad that Regina is not Rumple's baby. Cora ripping her own heart out so she could get down to the business of becoming queen was brilliant. I just wonder how Cora and Henry ended up poor if they were living in the castle as heirs to the throne.

The Good Wife
THEY GAVE KALINDA A ROBIN. WHO IS ACTUALLY NAMED ROBIN. AND THEN CARY ACTUALLY MADE THE JOKE. <333

I also like that they referenced Blake as a bad idea, because ugh, what a terrible storyline.

I'm always a little creeped out by when they defend really bad guys, but having Wallace Shawn as the old school wartime consigliere intimidating witnesses and shit was super creepy and effective. Plus Bebe Newirth and Audra McDonald, though once again, the show sets up women of color as antagonists for Alicia and I really wish they would stop doing that.

In other news, Marvel and Comixology are giving away free digital comics until 3/12, but while the sale works fine in the app at least, the comics aren't downloading, I guess since the servers are so overwhelmed. GODDAMMIT MARVEL, GIVE ME MY PET AVENGERS. FROG BUCKY FOR THE WIN.

Speaking of comics, happy birthday, Bucky Barnes! Also, Remus Lupin! What are the odds that two of my favorite fictional characters share a birthday? Who knew?
