various and sundry:
- I'm so tired I just want to faceplant on my desk and sleep. Even though I got a good 7.5 hours of sleep last night.
- My dad was scheduled to come home today but they discovered some issues, so they're doing more tests and there's another (non-surgical) procedure they're going to do this afternoon to hopefully alleviate the problem, and now I don't know when he'll be home. Sigh. Thanks for your continued well wishes.
- Football starts tonight with YOUR SUPER BOWL CHAMPION NEW YORK GIANTS vs. the -ugh- Cowboys. ♥ELI♥ I just hope these replacement refs are up to the task.
- So, the Hansel & Gretel trailer. It looks terrible, but if it doesn't produce some Hansel/Gretel fic, I will be very disappointed in fandom. I mean, co-dependent monster-hunting siblings with trust issues. I am just saying. I'm a little sad it won't be open before yuletide, though I suppose there are people who can write fic based on the trailer.
- I am already tired of the Neal's dad storyline on White Collar, and also while I agree Peter needed to apologize for being in Alex's apartment (because it complicated Neal's part of the job), I don't really think he's wrong to not trust Neal, since Neal doesn't trust him even after everything Peter's done for him. Bored now. I did like Mozzie's teamup with Peter, though. And Diana's glee at Neal getting caught.
- Yesterday,
mara asked about what show we would choose if we magically had the power to write/produce an episode of anything ever, and my answer was either Firefly (dead space show OF MY HEART), featuring character interactions we didn't get to see much of (Wash & River, Zoe & Inara), or Middleman, because writing an episode of Middleman would just be the geekiest, funnest thing ever. And she asked the bonus question of what comics would you like to write an issue of, and my gut response was JASON. Though not Red Hood & the Outlaws unless I could rewrite it from the ground up, and then I thought about being able to rewrite Nightwing: Brothers in Blood so it made actual sense, characterization-wise? But I might have to go with the Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle (preboot) so there could be canon Paco and Kon broventures, though it probably still wouldn't be as awesome as
Traincat's all maps lead to El Paso. ♥♥♥
