look at mother nature on the run

Dec 02, 2010 22:13

There was a leak under my kitchen sink or something, and I just had to wash all my pots and pans. Oy.

Thankfully, there was new Fringe to make my night better.

Oh, no, alt!Broyles! No!

I have to say, as much as I thought they did a fantastic job with the two universes, I wished for a more nuanced alt!Olivia, because she should clearly be able to see that our side is not at war with hers! And I would have liked to have seen her interact with her Broyles with him knowing that, as well. Missed opportunity, I fear. Though maybe we'll continue to see her on the other side, realizing that she might have been hasty/wrong? I don't know, but we still need to see Charlie and Lincoln. Don't take them away!

Peter, man, I hope you torture yourself A LOT (though mostly off-screen, because your manpain interests me NOT AT ALL) with how you totally didn't figure out that that was not our Olivia. Because I have a feeling it's going to torture Olivia, but she'll repress the way she always does.

I did love that he figured out the lady hostage was a shapeshifter, though I'm less pleased that it took Walter so long to think of the process they used to bring Walternate and the bridge over last season.

When Brandonish mentioned cutting out parts of Olivia and sending her back dead, the look on Walternate's face made me wonder for a split-second if he'd finally found a line he wouldn't cross, but no, he was probably just trying to figure out which parts they'd need.

Olivia being marked up for surgery was one of the creepiest things ever. And as usual on this show, they didn't go for the sexy shots of her naked body. Seeing the marks on her face, and then a glimpse of her back through her hospital johnny when she's talking to alt!Broyles was enough to convey the horror. Jesus.

All in all, I thought this was a tour de force for Anna Torv. Fantastic.

Oh, also, Newark-Penn is SPRINGSTEEN STATION on the other side! HEE!

Also, also, VAGENDA!!!?! Oh, Walter. Peter's the one you should blame for not seeing what was right in front of his face. Ronald Reagan in Casablanca, indeed. Hmph.

Separate cut for spoilers for next week.

OMG ORGAN STEALING YAY! MY FAVORITEST URBAN LEGEND!

Also, clearly someone needs the Winchesters to come along to tell them that WHAT'S DEAD SHOULD STAY DEAD because let's face it, raising the dead? Never a good idea. Ever. In any 'verse.

I need more Olivia icons, I think. And one of Broyles. And Astrid.

My throat is killing me. In addition to the coughing, I mean. Bleh. Do not want!
