So I saw Inception this afternoon after work. Link me to your thinky reaction posts if you've seen it!
And then on the way out of the theatre, these teenage girls spoiled me for the end of Salt. I wasn't planning to see it, but you never know. Heh.
Joseph Gordon Levitt and Ken Watanabe are totally my dreamscape boyfriends. The non-spoilery review is, I enjoyed it a lot - I found it completely engrossing and beautifully filmed.
I don't know how I feel about the ending. Because obvious ending is obvious - who, knowing Nolan's work, didn't expect that ending? So I kind of wish he'd maybe changed it up a bit. Also, I wasn't really invested in Tom and Mal - I was much more interested in the world and how Arthur hooked up with Cobb and how they knew Eames etc., which I guess just doesn't matter, if it's all still in Cobb's head. But how badass was Arthur? The elevator business! Creating gravity! ♥
And the dreamscapes were awesome. I thought they really looked like dreams and had that kind of dream logic to them, even though I'm not sure anything we were told actually made any sense. Coming out of the theatre felt like waking up from a dream, which was the perfect way to feel at teh end of this movie.
