OMG is that why??? Yes, I grew up in NYC! I LOVED THAT SHOW SO MUCH. The squirrel! and his days of the week with nuts song! And their swings! And giant sunflowers! *flap*

Yeah, that's why. I only discovered a couple of years ago that it was local. Also, apparently it was out on DVD for a while - I don't know if it's still available, but it was mighty tempting at the time.

The swings! the sunflowers! The closing theme song!

Also, The Electric Company. And ZOOM.

I was never a huge fan of ZOOM, but I LOVED Electric Company. It was my second choice after Magic Garden.

I loved Zoom. My sister and I watched religiously. I liked how they always changed the cast, and how a lot of it was ad lib. It was sort of like a kid's reality show.
